Scandale at the Meurice!
(PARIS) It's not often that you see some of the most photographed girls in Europe being practically driven out and screamed at by the staff at the unanimously beloved Meurice hotel. But that's exactly what happened last night. Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldolf were followed out by four angry staffers after a restaurant reservation dispute.
Here's what happened: Geldof and Chung, a guest of the hotel, decided to organize a dinner party for 15 guests at the hotel's posh restaurant (favored by the likes of David Yurman, Nina Garcia, Karolina Kurkova, and Christian Louboutin this season). But only a party of four showed up--and worse, the group failed to order as much as a glass of wine.
The quartet walked out to pursue their plans at another venue, a move that angered the hotel's and restaurant's staff. Four staffers followed Chung and Geldolf to the door and heated words were exchanged in the process. "We value all our guests," said one staffer. "But making reservations for 15 on one of the busiest nights of the year and then failing to even order anything is inappropriate."
