(PARIS) By now we all know the Lanvin drill very well. All the guests are greeted by happy bow-tied waiters with chilled champagne and treats (this time it was notepads and chocolate covered lollipops). The audience is entranced by the girls, music, necklaces, and of course…Alber. There’s heavy energetic applause, thunderous cheers, and every fifth set of eyes in the room is teary. But as consistent and dependable an experience it might be every six months, it is not to be taken for granted. Not even for Elbaz. “Very late last night I finished the line-up, the final looks, took a car back home and I was suddenly very sad,” he said after the show. “I realized that this little journey was over and another has begun. Now I can’t wait to see girls wear any of this on the streets six or seven months from now.”

Jared Leto led the cheers in the American section while befriending Hal Rubenstein, and French favorites like Innes De La Fressange and Clemence Poesy all rushed backstage to give Elbaz proper hugs. “It’s hard not be energized by something like that,” noted Jade Jagger afterwards. “It was amazing and beautiful as ever, and that 'Love Train' finale only made it better.” Karlie Kloss was just happy to get an evening workout during the show. “That huge staircase was probably awesome for our legs!” she smiled.

Oscar winner Juliette Binoche was just as smitten. “I’m wearing a Lanvin dress and pearls today, and it feels like nothing,” she gushed. “Like a very treasured nothing. Alber has mastered this beautiful science. Shopping scares me, so my Fall 2010 will consist of going into Lanvin and departing after five minutes with a smile. Easy is how it should be!”
